This multimeter is advertised as coming with a set of leads and a holster. I got a multimeter, a manual, and that’s it. I can’t even use it until I get leads or figure out why I didn’t get leads with this. The packaging is also not sealed — who knows if it’s been tampered with.
i go to a automotive school and by far this multimeter is the best for diagnosing cars and electricity
This thing is a beast. I’m not a professional electrician but I’ve used some pretty chintzy multimeters before. It’s pricy but based on my personal (albeit limited) experience, this will be the last multimeter I buy.
I love fluke meters because of there accuracy, and quality. This compact meter is easy to read, and is true rms. Not to bulky, and stores in tool pouch with other tools. The price I paid compared to retail is a hit also.recommend it highly!
I have been though about five multimeters in the past 20 years. My Father was an electronics technician and had a wonderful Simpson meter which took a dive onto our garage floor one day. Since then I have been looking for a meter that could withstand real world abuse and not turn into a useless paperweight in my tool bag. This is that meter. While costing about twice as much as your Radio Shack model, the Fluke is solidly built and dead on accurate. The Fluke 115 has all of the functions I need to troubleshoot home and boat electrical systems without breaking the bank. If this meter lasts longer than five years, it will be worth the price. Sometimes paying more for quality up front saves you in the long run.
