I bought this to work with a digital TV on our boat. Does the job!

I bought this so I could watch the Super Bowl in HD, since DirecTV doesn’t have local channels in HD here. I must say, the picture quality can be pretty impressive. This thing is great for the money. Don’t blow your budget on something 2 or 3 times as much when all you need is this.

I am very happy with this purchase. I debated whether or not to buy a much more expensive amplified antenna, but instead chose to roll the dice and buy this basic model. It turned out to be a wise choice. I placed the antenna on top of the TV cabinet in my living room, which is in a corner several feet from any window. Even without extending the antennae, I was able to pick up 16 channels at 100% signal strength from as far away as 30 miles. I later found that on very cloudy days it’s helpful to extend the antennae to ensure the best signal. It has proven to be a perfect fit for my location.

Works good. Not it’s fault I live in a high air traffic area. News @ 5, 6, and 11 should be cancelled, it’s all bad any way!!

I tried this antenna with a Sony HDTV with a digital tuner, indoors and in my windowsill, and it would not pull in any stations at all by itself, only 2 or 3 when amplified, and then the picture broke up into pixels and froze up at times. A friend’s amplified antenna from Radio Shack worked well in the same area, bringing in dozens of stations, so it’s not the area that I live in. Returned for refund.
