Item Description

The DB4 has become our most popular model because it is simply the best Mid Range HDTV antenna on the market. With an approximate 13.7 dB gain, it is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum. It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions.

I purchased this product and I purchased the most expensive antenna made by Antenna’s Direct. This smaller, cheaper antenna picked up stations the other antenna did not. We live in the mountains of North Carolina, as well, so the antenna has to be pretty strong to receive signals consistently. There are a few glitches with reception, but I am attributing that more to our mounting of the antenna and the direction of the signals. Don’t spend more money! Buy this antenna for better results.

  2. R. Yoza says:

I was impressed by the capture of tv signal in our area for the compact size of the antenna.

But I would recommend the DB8, instead of the DB4.

I didn’t have the money but the DB4 was good, there is some weak signal sometimes, but rarely. Good antenna.

  3. James F. Hicks says:

I am 80 miles from Albany and could only get 17 stations on old antenna. I get 28 now. Some are duplicates but that is not the fault of the antenna.

  4. Ming Su says:

I bought this antenna outside Amazon. The previous owner had direct TV mounted on the roof, which gives me a perfect post and pre-wired cable. I then took down the dish, mounted my DB4 with the help of my military compus, screw in the coax, rescan channels. Eight-nine channels were found, at least doubled the number when I used my indoor antenna. Not only that, all channels have signal at least 80 out of 100. Good product.

For those who didn’t receive good result. Before blaming on the antenna, maybe there are some other possibilities.

    1. Maybe this antenna doesn’t fit the area you live in.

    2. The connection between antenna and cable could be loose or not well soldered.

    3. The cable running down from antenna to the TV is too long.

    4. Too many TVs rely on single antenna. In this case, add an amplifier before split signal.

  5. C. Novak says:

Real happy with this antenna. Rather then run extra 60 feet of coax to the second floor and risk signal degradation, I took a chance and mounted 10 feet away from cable box on 1st floor eve. Works great and picked up significantly more channels than I had expected. Signal indicator is 6 out of 6 bars on TV and 4 out of 5 on Windows Media Center.

Happy with the appearance also. Not an eyesore and less obvious than a dish.
